This Massive Tent is the Latest Installation in Marino

Whilst students and staff of MIE were getting used to strange times on campus, our team were tasked with extending the usable outdoor space for everyone in the North Dublin college.

Working closely with Ciaran and Gene of MIE, BILD designed and installed a 5-sided custom canvas to fit perfectly into their stunning student courtyard. Surrounded by solid granite walls and creeping, funky plant-life, the board of MIE have gifted their students with a huge waterproof hideaway filled with potential.

The area consists of almost 300 sq. m of platinum grey stretch tent rigged at over 3 metres high at the eaves. As well as this, an amazing sense of space has been created within the cover with the inclusion of 5 metre king pole peaks.

The project was a great idea from the college to make the most of the space available to them and using their creativity to develop something from nothing!

We are really looking forward to seeing how this installation is utilized over the coming months and can’t wait to see how this new event space develops when things return to normal.

Big thanks to Marino Institute of Education for the opportunity to design this bespoke solution, a pleasure working with you guys.  Until next time.
